10.18.09 {Personal} Kitty and Daphne

We were able to move a week ago into a new place that allows us to have pets, we were so excited that it all came together so fast! So this week we went to our local animal shelter, Four Paws, and picked out our new BFF. We LOVE her! She's the dreamiest cat you could ask for. She sits on my lap while I edit weddings and follows us wherever we go. We haven't named her yet and have just been calling her "kitty", nothing else seems to fit. It's nice to have a new friend.

I also babysit our friends daughter, Daphne two mornings a week and she has fallen in love with our kitty. We love daphne.

On another note, we attended the Provo Bridal Fair yesterday, it went REALLY well. We had a great time chatting with and getting to know all of you! We look forward to hearing from you, and attending your weddings in the coming months. If you missed us, check out our booth HERE!

That being said....We were lucky enough to spend a few hours with the Nichols family a few weeks ago for a family portrait session. The Nichols family were the winners of the charity auction we had a little while ago. It was wonderful to finally meet the generous family who donated to the Allen Family Charity. Their daughter is the CUTEST and their son has the dopest dreds we've ever seen on a kid. They are such genuine and kind people.

10.04.09 {Personal} Snowbird, Utah.

Chad and I don't get that many opportunities to go on vacation because of our crazy schedule, so when we realized we had a whole weekend off after our Thursday wedding this week we jumped on the opportunity. After a wedding in Manti, Utah we headed up to the Snowbird Mountain Resort in Salt Lake. It was already winter up there! It was so beautiful and peaceful, and just the relaxing weekend we needed. Spending quality time together outside of work and school distractions is really important to us, especially at this time in our life. It was so nice to forget about everything for a day, and now we're back and ready to work more than ever!

Chad took this shot of our good friend Kirsten and her bus a few weeks ago while I was modeling for a shoot for their vintage shop on etsy. We love the Binghams so much and think they're incredibly talented. I've been wanting to share some of their work for some time now because I LOOOOVE it. They design custom wedding invitations that are my absolute favorite. Check out more of their work HERE, and now, Kirsten.

I love to attend weddings where you feel like you're part of the family. Every detail of this wedding was so adorable and well thought out, I felt like I was at a shoot for Martha Stewart weddings. We shoot a lot of weddings every year, but not every couple truly opens up to us and lets us into their lives. Barry and Krissie have become good friends who we hope to be able to see frequently during our travels to Utah. They have beautiful hearts and souls.
